get haircut, take picture, edit, and post.
Following all these amazing blogs makes me wish I had the amount of followers they have and how so many people love what they do. I look up to them and wonder how they do it. I came across this article, that I actually linked on an earlier post but I’ll link it again. However I came across this article about blogging and I realized that these other blogs didn’t get there followers overnight, that it probably took them years to do. Although I’ve had this blog for over a year I haven’t updated it regularly until recently so maybe in a years time my blog will receive more attention. I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently, about where I would like to go with my career and although I’m still figuring it out here is what I came up with so far. First I will focus on finishing school and blogging. Study abroad in England and take an internship or two. When I graduate in two years I’ll start working as a graphic designer. During this time I will create my personal website and begin to freelance on the side. It feels so good to figure this out, I’ve had these thoughts for a while but up until now I wasn’t sure when they would play out and if they were even possible. Once I was able to think it through and realistically I came up with a plan that works for me.
If any of my lovely followers have any advise or questions on blogging/networking or whatever else feel free to send a message my way, I’d greatly appreciate it.
I spent most of my day being inspired by these beautiful websites, nubbytwiglet and tinybuddha.
What website/blogs do you find inspiring?
When my sister and I were younger and we went for long car rides with our family, we always took paper and crayons with us. We would close our eyes and draw one continuous line then switch the papers and we would try to create something out of the line the other one drew. So for one of my daily drawings we decided to try that again, the first image is the line my sister drew and the second is what I created from it.
Satisfied with my achievement to read at least five books over the course of the winter break. I actually ended up reading six to help my brother with a book report. If anyone’s interested these are the titles:
A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks
Harry Potter and the Sorcer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban by J.K. Rowling
Empty by Suzanne Weyn
The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks
Cleaned up my blog up a bit by deleting some useless posts. I noticed I write a lot when I’m stressed or depressed, so starting now I will only post positive things!
Funny I drew Sonny Moore (Skrillex) because looking in old sketchbooks, I found one I did of him back in high school.
