I work best when I listen to music, which is why I think I’m having a hard time focusing on my flash assignment. I’m tired of listening to the same song over and over again. I’m actually not even listening to the whole song just pieces of it as I time it. This is very frustrating!
Introducing Colabs
Colabs is a new creative community currently being developed by Brooklyn-based designers Noah Akinson and Jennica Johnstone. Once launched, the site will support connections between creative individuals for the purpose of collaboration, finding roommates and workspaces.
This sounds like a fantastic idea to me. But in order to bring the site to life, the Colabs founders need your help. To raise the funds necessary for completion of the platform they are offering all sorts of rewards for your support, from tote bags to limited edition posters and prints by a variety of talented artists and designers. Lend your support right here.
Cool idea!
All natural.
Slept for 12 hours last night. Which was needed since I’ve been only sleeping 3-4 hours a night to get work done.
Pop-under advertisement for a packaging design I did called Water Safe, a flood survival kit.
Spent my Saturday walking around NYC with Corinne and Malissa, where I tried my first macaroon and Jamba Juice.
Friday September 14th 2012 marked one of the best nights in my life. After waiting nine long years I finally had the chance to see my favorite band, McFLY live in their first U.S. tour.
I still can’t process the fact that this happened and to think it almost didn’t. I tried getting tickets for both days when they went on sale but I wasn’t fast enough, they sold out immediately. Three days before the show I was told that a friend came through and got them for Corinne and I. We didn’t even have the tickets in hand until 2pm the day of.
We woke up early and waited online for twelve hours. But it was worth it, we stood center stage behind maybe two or three people.
Even in the venue I couldn’t believe what was happening until those four guys stepped onto that stage. I literally started crying, I couldn’t believe I was seeing them with my own eyes in the flesh and not through a computer screen. They were beyond amazing! I imagined for so long what it would be like and it was nothing compared to how it turned out to be. I can’t begin to tell you what I was feeling at that moment. They are so true to what I’ve seen on the videos I’ve watched over the years. You can see that they love to perform, and they make you feel apart of the performance. When they walked off stage we started singing Falling In Love, so Danny came back on stage and said he would help us out. Later I found out they were supposed to play Walk In the Sun. Overall I had the best time. I cried, I laughed, and I couldn’t ask for a more perfect night!
GALEXY DEFENDERS STAY FOREVER!
P.S. I even got to see Fletch walk by (he is McFLY’s manager & was Busted’s as well)
These four guys have been a huge part of my life for the past nine years. They have always been my favorite and there is no other band I’d rather see live more then them. I’ve grown up with them and they are a part of who I am today. Seeing them live would only make my love for them grow, to see the faces in person of the band that strongly impacted my life would be an honor. I’ve waited patiently throughout the years wishing on birthday candles and stars to go to a McFLY concert. I’ve dreamt about it for so long and finally they are coming here in America… and I couldn’t get tickets. Until a few hours ago, my Mom told me a family friend was able to get them for my sister and I for this Friday! We cried and danced around to McFLY songs. This feels so surreal and exciting, I can’t believe I have my chance to be that crazy fan girl in the ‘Five Colors in Her Hair’ video! My dream is finally coming true and I don’t have to fly 3,000 miles to England for it. (Although one day I will)
Had my first Max Brenner’s experience today and I must say it was amazing. The food was delicious and so nicely displayed. And as if the food wasn’t good enough the place and menu’s were so beautifully designed! I noticed that immediately when I went to check out their website before meeting my friend.
This past weekend my friend, Stacy came to visit. We had a very fun and eventful three days. Can’t wait to see her again when I’m back in the city.
